Pakistan Software Export Bureau (PSEB) was managing 43 Software Technology Parks (STPs) across the country in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar han, Abbottabad, Swat, Mansehra, Peshawar, Quetta, Nawabshah, Khuzdar, Jamshoro and Gilgit.
These STPs have around 02 million square feet of office space, and more than 19000 Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) professionals were working in these STPs all of which are running as the profit centers.
In addition to the STPs, PSEB was also establishing an Information Technology Park in Karachi with the financial assistance from the Korean Exim Bank. PSEB has also started another infrastructure to support the freelancers by developing the e-Rozgar programme across Pakistan. A pilot project was initiated during FY2024 to establish 250 e-Rozgar centres across Pakistan.
PSEB has also launched another to develop ICT infrastructure in the public sector educational institutions/ universities to boost industry-academia linkages and also promote the startup ecosystem. Under this initiative, PSEB has launched its first-ever women’s software technology park at the Women’s University of Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) during FY2024.
