Turning back towards oil refineries, as per PM’s charge, a coastal oil refinery would be set up in a year’s time while resuming the work on the terminal by the Pak-Arab Refinery Company Limited (PARCO). The prime minister said that the PARCO refinery establishment is very important for the petroleum sector. The completion of the project would increase the capacity of the sector, and help in achieving capability to locally-produced petroleum-related products. While speaking on about introductory reforms in the energy sector, PM gave briefings about the administrative, production as well price and transmission in the power sector. Energy Sector has been directed to take measures that all the stakeholders must discharge their responsibilities within the specified period.
