The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has conferred the Engineers’ Excellence Awards 2023, honoring 30 distinguished engineers in eight categories for their outstanding contributions to national progress. The grand ceremony was attended by parliamentarians, senior officials, foreign delegates, and leading professionals. Minister Khalid Hussain Magsi praised PEC’s initiative, calling the awards “a national celebration of ingenuity, dedication, and professional excellence.” He highlighted PEC’s pivotal role in digital transformation, youth engagement, and international recognition, citing initiatives such as the Smart PEC Drive, Graduate Engineers Training Program, AI-based learning courses, and Pakistan’s extended membership under the Washington Accord.
PEC Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir congratulated the awardees, noting PEC’s role as a government think tank, advancing engineering education, industry reforms, and global collaboration. He reaffirmed PEC’s commitment to empowering young engineers, driving sustainability, and strengthening Pakistan’s position in the international engineering community.
