The official figures from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics show that the country’s textile machinery import declined by $59.521 million in July-June 2018-19 coming down to $434.786 million against the machinery import of $494.307 million in July-June 2017-18.
Import of the construction and mining machinery scaled down to $192.278 million in July-June 2018-19 from $294.307 million in July-June 2017-18, showing a fall of 35 percent or $102.029 million.
The country’s import of construction and mining machinery slumped by 53.25 percent or $16.46 million to $14.451 million in June 2019 from $30.911 million in June 2018.
Pakistan’s import of electrical machinery and appliances dropped by 17 percent or $295.943 million to $1.495 billion in July-June 2018-19 from $1.791 billion in July-June 2017-18.
Electrical machinery and appliances were imported to the tune of $171.311 million in June 2018-19 less by 11 percent or $20.743 million from $192.054 million in June 2018.
