Pakistan and China bracing for launching new corridors under CPEC’s second phase

Great game changer Pakistan-China Economic Corridors has quite successfully completed its first phase and now the two countries were bracing up for launching its second phase during which some new corridors were likely to be launched with greater focus on growth innovation, sustainability, livelihoods , and regional connectivity.

CPEC’s first phase has recently concluded with the completion of as many as 43 projects in different sectors under its overall framework at an estimated total cost of US @ 25.4 billion. Projects completed included 17 power sector projects which added 88000 MW to the country’s national grid, two coal mines, and a 1660 KV transmission.

In the transport sector 8 projects costing US @ 6.7 billion were completed.
