The recently reconstituted China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Business Council held a meeting under the command of chair of Adviser to PM for Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood. The productive meeting was attended by Minister of State, and BOI chairman Atif R Bokhari, CPEC Authority chairman Asim Saleem Bajwa, BOI secretary Fareena Mazhar, members of the council and officials. In the meeting, Board of Investment (BOI) aimed to create an interacting zone between government and business community in order to enhance the industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China. Meanwhile, government is fully committed to ensure a business-friendly environment by providing competitive incentives to the industry. After the brief negotiation and consideration of Pakistan’s potential in petrochemical, steel manufacturing and IT sectors, the attendees appreciated the endorsements for the development of projects in these domains in collaboration with Chinese potential investors.
