Only 2 new development projects by Industries & Production Division

The Federal Government ‘s Industries & Production Division was in the process of launching only two new development schemes during the ongoing financial year 2025-26.

First scheme was ” Development of Block -A (500 acres) of Phase -1 (1500 acres) of the Karachi Industrial Park (Federal Special Economic Zone) on approximately 8400 Acres of Pakistan Steel Mills Land Karachi, Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PID).

This was approved by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) in February 2025 for implementation at an estimated total cost of Rs 7404.010 million rupees. For launching this scheme an allocation of Rs 500.000 million has been provided in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for outgoing financial year 2025-26.

The other new development scheme was “1000 Industrial Stitching Units (Phase-2) for implementation by Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) which was approved by the CDWP in May 2025 for implementation at an estimated cost of Rs 1950.000 million, For its launching, an allocation of Rs 250.000 million has been provided in the PSDP 2025-26.
