The joint venture of Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) and Saif Energy Limited (SEL) has stuck oil in Kohat at the exploratory Well Togh # 01. Mari and Saif Energy have 33.3 pc and 16.7pc of shares, respectively.
According to a preliminary test, the well can produce, and 4.1 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day of (MMSCFD) gas and 50 Barrel per Day (BPD) of condensate through 32/64 inches choke at wellhead flowing pressure of 760-823 pounds square inch (Psi). Togh Well # 01 was drilled down to the depth of 3,200 meters.
OGDC said the discovery of the well is the result of aggressive exploration strategy adopted by the company which opened a new avenue in KP areas and would add to the hydrocarbon reserves base of the company as well as the joint venture partners.
