OGDCL’s in Fatehjang Quarantined as employee resulted positive for COVID-19

The health authorities have quarantined Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL’s) exploration rig in Fatehjang after one of their employees tested positive for Covid-19. District Health Officer Dr Asad Ismail has taken precautionary services along with Deputy District Officer (health) Dr Junaid Sadiq. They visited the site after an ambulance driver working there tested positive for Covid-19. The samples from 11 employee, who had interacted with the patient were also taken and sent to National Institute of Health (NIH) Islamabad for testing. Taking precautionary measures, the exploration rig was quarantined to stop the possible spread of the deadly viral disease while the driver has already been isolated and is under treatment.
