OGDCL announces increased production at Nashpa Well

A significant production enhancement has been announced by the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) at Nashpa Well-10 which is situated in the Karak District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This has been decided according to the production enhancement strategy devised by OGDCL according to which the company has implemented perfect intervention techniques in various formations resulting in a significant increase in hydrocarbon production.

The total calculated production from the said well after the success of this optimization stands at 1870 BPD of oil and 7.02 MMSCFD of gas. Prior to the production enhancement, the well had been producing 1700 BPD of oil and 2.45 MMSCFD of gas. The extracted gas is being efficiently sent to the system of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network. TheNashpa-10 production is aimed to save $30.67 million per year in foreign exchange as import substitution for the country.
