NTDC completes 75km Suki Kinari Transmission Line

Another major milestone has been achieved by the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) after the official completion of 75km long 500kV Double-Circuit Suki Kinari Transmission Line which will provide 884MW cheap Hydro power. The Transmission line will be able to provide 884MW pf green energy with the support of Suki Kinari Hydropower Project located on River Kunhar in Mansehra District of KPK.

The project was supervised by the management of NTDC and had begun in the middle of 2021. The pace of work on the project was accelerated after directions from the NTDC earlier as the requirements of timely completion were to be met. All the construction work was completed within due to despite the bad weather and location. After the Hi Pot testing of the line, the results were satisfactory.

The situation of power distribution will be greatly improved by this transmission line in the areas of IESCO and GEPCO. It will play a very positive role in industrialization, creating employment opportunities and improving the socio-economic conditions of the country through uninterrupted power supply to the region.
