New Projects to be launched for Maritime Business Partnerships in Pakistan

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, announced the
government’s decision to launch new initiatives for productive collaborations and
successful business partnerships in the maritime sector. The announcement was
made during the closing session of the three-day Pakistan International Maritime
Exhibition and Conference-23 (PIMEC) in Karachi, where the Minister was the
chief guest.

Subzwari emphasized the role of the Pakistan Navy in driving dynamic initiatives
in the maritime domain and contributing to the socio-economic growth of coastal
areas. He also emphasized that the recommendations from the conference will
provide guidelines for the development of the maritime sector and the conduct of
the next PIMEC in 2025.

The conference was attended by a wide range of dignitaries from across the
world, including defence forces from Pakistan and other friendly countries,
academia, media representatives, and local and international researchers. The
conference featured discussions on the theme of “Embracing Blue Economy –
Challenges and Opportunities for Developing Countries.”
