October 1, 1991 MIA took its birth in a humble premise of two rooms amid the hustle bustle of Markaz F-8, Islamabad, embarking on a journey to make its Chairman’s childhood dream a reality. A company starting with mere four people has now turned into group of companies having 1400 permanent employees with 1000 as contractual staff and spanning throughout Pakistan with its regional and branch offices in all major cities.
MIA is a resounding name in the field of HVAC with over seven billion rupees annual turnover, though still very young but en route to a promising future. On the completion of 25 years, the celebration was planned in Islamabad as usual, but its organizer could not find any space sufficient enough to host it all permanent and contractual employees. It therefore was decided to celebrate the event at three regional offices-Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. The event took place on 5th, 12th, and 19th of November.
The event attendees witnessed the pleasure of parodies produced by MIA staff for their entertainment, marked by performance speeches of CEOs of respective business units. The group CEO and worthy chairman congratulated the whole staff on their contribution to make MIA a success story for ambitious entrepreneurs. The chairman asserted that the success owes to MIA humility, respecting the system with grace, dedication and honoring its social responsibilities in accordance with our religious obligations. He overemphasized the need to disseminate knowledge both professional and religious to earn reward in the hereafter also. He reiterated and stressed upon religious obligations to be the first and worldly errands second in the row to harvest blessings of Almighty Allah.
The chairman said, “We all deserve to take pride in the success and achievements till now MIA has scored”. There are people I want to thank on this occasion, who are no one but you and only you. My higher aspirations and your equal response have proved that a plausible impossibility is better than a convincing possibility. My dreams, my aspirations, and your hard work would have not achieved anything if there wasn’t something extraordinary in you people. I believe high aspirations, courage, dreams and perhaps even nobler objective alone cannot win without your will to succeed. I again congratulate you on this success which came against all odds turning impossible into possible.
The Chairman graciously announced cash awards for all employees of MIA and awards in kind for senior management.
