Lister Petter has announced the launch of the Earth Max Series, a new high-output engine platform developed to meet the growing global demand for dependable, large-scale power generation.
Engineered for fixed-speed 1500 rpm applications, the Earth Max Series significantly expands Lister Petter’s capability in the power generation sector. The range delivers prime power outputs from 1020 kW to 2220 kW, making it suitable for standby, prime and continuous duty environments where reliability and operational resilience are critical. The platform spans several configurations, beginning with the 20-cylinder LP2041EG models delivering up to 1115 kW prime power, and extending to the flagship 16-cylinder LP1686EG variants exceeding 2 MW net prime output. The engines are designed to support generator set packages of up to 2750 kVA, enabling integration into high-demand installations such as data centres, utilities, industrial infrastructure and grid support projects worldwide.
At the core of the Earth Max platform is a combination of advanced high-pressure Common Rail fuel injection and high efficiency turbocharged aftercooled architecture, delivering optimised fuel performance across the load curve. Built in accordance with ISO 3046 and ISO 8528 standards, the engines feature heavy-duty cooling and lubrication systems engineered specifically for continuous operation in demanding environments. At the top of the range sits the LP1686EG28, the most powerful configuration in the series. Delivering up to 2220 kW prime power at 1500 rpm, this 16-cylinder engine is designed for large-scale standby and prime power installations where performance margins and reliability are essential.
