Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has registered a large number of 21668 new companies during six months July to December 2025, first half of the ongoing financial year 2025-26 as compared to 16839 companies which were incorporated during the same period in the last year.
According to the SECP sources, total number of registered companies in the country has by now reached 279724. The newly registered companies have brought paid up capital of Rs 30.7 billion during the period under report reflecting a 29 percent increase from the last year.
Sector-wise of the newly incorporated companies, Information Technology (I T ) and e-commerce led with 4277 new companies, followed by Trading with 2997, Services with 2086, and Real Estate Development and Construction with 2031.
As for foreign participation was concerned, 524 newly -incorporated companies had received foreign of Rs 1.26 billion with 731 foreign investors being the participants.
