The Platinum Mining Company (Pvt) Ltd has signed a groundbreaking joint venture with the
Government of Baluchistan to establish Pakistan’s first mineral processing project in Quetta.
Ismail Suttar, President of LCCI, represented the company in collaboration with Baluchistan
Mineral Resource Limited, led by Saeed Sarpara, MD BMRL. Their goal is to convert raw
fluorite ore into high-quality calcium fluorite for global chemical industries. The signing of this
historic JV was witnessed by Minister Umair Hasni.
Ismail emphasized the importance of developing value-added products to address trade deficits. PMCL and LCCI found an estimated 1.6 million tons of fluorite resources in Loralai district, which they plan to extract and process in Hub Baluchistan. BMRL will receive a 5% profit share without investing in the project. Minister Hasni praised the initiative’s potential to boost provincial development and access new markets in Pakistan.
