JICA signed MOU with WASA to resolve sewerage issues

To be enrich with new tools and latest equipment’s, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This will help to settle the sewerage problems in the city. As per the official statement, Japan will provide modern machinery worth over Rs2 billion to the native town. The list of equipment include:  water, crane, cleaning machine, dumping truck, de-watering pump and pick-up truck. The 18 suction machines will be provided to WASA for evacuation from urban areas along with 18 jetting missions for the local authority to remove blockages of sewerage lines. Moreover the modern cameras will be enabling the authorities to keep a check on water quality.  So, with the installation of modern machinery, the problems of water and sanitation department will be solved remarkably.
