M. Zakir Ali CEO Inverex shares insights with Engineering Post
In a candid conversation with Engineering Post, Muhammad Zakir Ali, CEO of Inverex, shared the company’s journey, vision, and continued commitment to innovation in Pakistan’s renewable energy and emerging electric vehicle (EV) sector. Since its inception in Pakistan in 2007, Inverex has steadily established itself as a household name in solar energy solutions, providing quality products while keeping pace with international technological trends.
“Our philosophy has always been simple,” began Muhammad Zakir Ali. “We want to provide Pakistanis with access to the latest technologies that are shaping the world, without compromising on affordability and after-sales support. Every year, we introduce new products to keep up with the global shift in renewable energy and automation.”
Over the past decade, Pakistan’s solar market has witnessed unprecedented growth. With rising energy demands, increasing electricity tariffs, and an urgent push for clean power, solar has become more than a luxury, it has become a necessity. “The market for solar in Pakistan has increased multifold in recent years,” remarked the CEO. “And yet, the potential for growth is still massive. Inverex is fully prepared to serve this market and to scale as demand continues to grow.”
One of the cornerstones of Inverex’s strategy has been its unwavering focus on after-sales service. Recognizing that the longevity and reliability of solar systems depend heavily on support and maintenance, Inverex has developed one of the largest networks of after-sales facilities in the country. “We have more than 35 after-sales service centers running across Pakistan,” highlighted Muhammad Zakir Ali. “This gives our customers the confidence that when they invest in Inverex, they are not just buying a product they are investing in a long-term partnership. We have never compromised on our quality, and this commitment is the key reason behind our exponential growth.”
Inverex’s product portfolio today reflects not only its strength in solar technology but also its boldness in diversification. The company recently made headlines by entering Pakistan’s electric vehicle market a move that underscores its readiness to embrace future mobility solutions. “This year, we took a bold step by introducing an Electric Vehicle in Pakistan,” said the CEO with evident pride. “It’s not just about solar anymore. The future lies in creating a sustainable ecosystem where renewable energy supports transport, homes, and industries. By introducing EVs, we are aligning with global trends and giving Pakistani customers a glimpse of the future.”
While acknowledging the challenges of introducing EV technology in a developing market, Muhammad Zakir Ali emphasized Inverex’s long-term vision. “Every new technology faces skepticism at first, but Pakistan is ready,” he asserted. “We believe that renewable energy and EV adoption will go hand in hand in the coming decade. Our role is to ensure that Pakistanis have reliable, world-class solutions available to them right here at home.”
Concluding the interview, the CEO stressed Inverex’s deep-rooted commitment to quality and innovation. “Our success story is built on trust,” he noted. “As long as we remain committed to delivering innovative products, world-class services, and uncompromising quality, Inverex will continue to be a leader in shaping Pakistan’s renewable energy and EV future.”
