The United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy concluded a professional and skill development programme for the Pakistani youth “Brightening the Future” through a ceremony held at the embassy in Islamabad. The UAE embassador along with several technology corporation representatives, mainly Ufone and PTCL were present at the ceremony.
The UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi presided over the ceremony stating that UAE cherishes its friendly economic and developmental relations with Pakistan. Quoting him, “Brightening the Future” internship programme reflects our commitment to a brighter future of Pakistan, which we are realizing by enabling the youth of this beautiful country. “I am thankful to PTCL, Ufone and Bank Alfalah for making this a reality”, said UAE Ambassador.
The initiative focused on preparing Pakistani youth for fulfilling professional careers ahead. Bright and determined young students were selected fulfilling a very demanding criteria, to be a part of the initiative and were allowed to train under a very experienced and senior staff to learn and apply their training for the betterment and development of a digitally advanced country
PTCL and Ufone organized several training sessions for the youth with their senior management to enhance their skills and arranged visits to PTCL Exchange, PTCL Data Center and Ufone Mobile Switching Center to spread related awareness. Social developmental and team management skills were also promoted by arranging a hike of the trainees up the refreshing Margalla hills.
Bank Alfalah also trained the youth on digital and financial literacy and exposed them to the inner workings of the banking and finance sector in the country.
