To establish a new industrial zone in Islamabad under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project with promotion to industrialization, a delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) under the command of Muhammad Ahmed Waheed President has met to Mathar Niaz Rana, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Planning & Development. Mathar Niaz Rana, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Planning & Development welcomed the delegates and briefed about the countless of his ministry initiatives and shared details of CPEC projects that presents a great opportunity for JVs and investment to the private sector. He further said that an industrial zone had been planned in Islamabad under CPEC project. It is desired that ICCI should share its proposal for the industrial zone that would be given outstanding attention. ICCI President Muhammad Ahmed Waheed said ICCI had been making efforts since long for the establishment of a new industrial estate in Islamabad to promote industrialization. Thus, the Planning Ministry should cooperate for materialization for important project to boost industrial activities while creating effectively new jobs in the region.
