Optimization of Sizing of Motor for Energy Conservation
On April 22nd, fourth activity of the year was organized by IEEE PES Chapter Karachi at Sunset Club, Karachi. A multipurpose event was arranged where more than 40 participants and industry leaders were eased by Platform and got opportunity of appealing with each other as IEEE is committed to serve Engineering Professional to evaluate their technical knowledge and create edifice chunks of an enduring and diverse professional network.
The topic of one-day seminar was “Optimization of Sizing of Motor for Energy Conservation” and Speaker of the seminar was “Engr. Tahir Saleem”. With the Recitation of Holy Quran, the seminar started. Engr. Parkash Lohana briefed about membership development and Engr.Ishtiaq gave Thank You note to seminar.
The seminar majorly consisted of two parts. The first half was about Motor Losses, Motor efficiency, motor description & Losses, Electric Motor Systems, Motor Selection, Motor Controls, Motor Drive Selection, Sizing, and its calculations and different Standards (IEEE, NFPA, and ANSI) were discussed. A healthy discussion on different topics proved knowledge enhancer for the attendees. In last Part, Presentation about IEEE Membership Development was presented to encourage industry fellows to be part of IEEE Organization by Engr. Lohana. In a long run of 60 minutes, this satisfactory event was attended by large number of professionals and refreshed with high tea.
