Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce and Industry arranged a webinar for the industrialists of the country. President of the chamber Adil Mahmood acted as the moderator of the webinar.
During the webinar the industrialists termed 2020 as the ‘year of pains and gains’. The participants of the webinar acknowledged that despite intense pressure due to COVID-19 the economy is showing positive indicators and the situation has improved exceptionally well due to the policies offered.
Adil Mahmood while quoting the Asian Development Bank (ADB) report on development outlook stated “Pakistan’s economy is recovering, particularly in the manufacturing and construction sectors, supported by the government emergency relief,”
The industrialists participating in the webinar appreciated the steps taken by the govt to increase investments in the construction sector and urged the policy makers to introduce policies to encourage investments in the industrial sector as well.
