President Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Amir Nouman has hinted at the establishment of a “Golden Triangle” expo centre for Wazirabad. He said this while visiting the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI). The Golden triangle will cater for the requirements of Gujrat, Gujranawala and Sialkot. These three industrial cities are leading the market in exports of electric fans, cutlery and surgical items.
He said that the annual industrial exhibition was regularly organised by GTCCI for the last 8 years but due to security constrains and some other issues it was not organised last year, however the management of GTCCI is fully determined to organize the said exhibition this year.
FCCI chief in his welcome address briefed about the activities of FCCI and informed the house that the foremost object of FCCI is to safeguard and protect the rights of industry and trade community in legislative manners. The issue regarding levy of sales tax is also under discussion with the concerned govt. authorities and is expected to be resolved very soon.
