German organization GIZ will establish Center of Excellence in Lahore in order to equip 1100 TEVTA teachers with latest teaching skills.
While chairing a meeting regarding establishment of Center of Excellence at TEVTA Secretariat, Chairman Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh has said that Principals of 120 TEVTA institutes will be provided training at this center. He also said that equipping teachers with the latest teaching techniques is the need of the hour; therefore the role of Center of Excellence is very important. If teachers will be provided training then they will be able to provide education using modern techniques, he added.
TEVTA is striving for providing skilled labour to our youth in Punjab, now its duty of parents and teachers to realize them the importance of skilled labour, he said adding that if we will successful to realizing our youth the importance of skilled labour, then we will be able to meet the need of labour force for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He also inform the meeting that GIZ had earlier provided training to more than 3300 teachers and principals of 25 TEVTA institutes as per 5 year program. The partnership between TEVTA and GIZ was successful and now entering in next phase of five year program.
