Spokesman of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) told the media that the anomaly committee of the federation has unanimously come to a decision that it will be extremely beneficial for the government to initiate the first ever Industrial amnesty scheme in Pakistan. The purpose of this scheme would be to help set up export oriented industries without asking for source of income. This would help bring undeclared hidden assets in documented economy in addition to boosting the volume of export.
Just last month Engineering Post had suggested the same idea after consulting the engineering community of Pakistan.
Chairman United Business Group Iftikhar Ali Malik chaired the meeting which was attended by FPCCI President Eng Daroo Khan Achakzai and other members.
Talking to media after anomaly committee meeting, Daroo Khan said that trillions of rupees which are hidden and undocumented will be injected in new industries and provide millions of new jobs. He said that consensus was also developed on the immediate revival of sick industry to bring it in main stream of quick industrialization.
Iftikhar Ali Malik briefly talking to media on this occasion said that Prime Minister Imran Khan must focus on quick industrialization and take bold steps to speed up economic growth by restoring the confidence of foreign and local investors.
The budget anomaly committee after thread bear discussions with all chambers has submitted 56 proposals for their immediate rectification in budget.
