Four new Special Technology Zones to be established

Four new Special  Technology Zones  are planned to be established by the Special Technology  Zones Authority in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Lahore.

These planned new special technology zones are planned to  consist of 1.4 million square feet high quality  technology infrastructure  and in total 130 acres of land  will be available  for the exclusive  use by the technology companies.

These zones will have the capacity to house  more than 50 thousand professionals with an export potential  estimated to exceed US $  350 million annually.

 An investment of Rs 30 billion  has already been made  in developing the specialized technology  infrastructures  by the zone de developers  while more than  Rs 150 billion  investment  is expected  to be made by the local and foreign technology  companies.

The newly-designated zones included NUST Special Technology Zone and Tech7 Special Technology  Zone in Islamabad,  Capital  Smart Technology Zone in Rawalpindi and  Mindbridge Special Technology Zone in Lahore.

These newly  notified  zones will offer  state-of-the-art  facilities, cutting edge infrastructure, and high-speed  internet connectivity ensuring  that the entrepreneurs  can compete  and thrive  in the international market.

Already, 12 Special Technology Zones are  working in different parts of the country  housing more than  15000  technology  professionals.
