DWP/GREE’s Expanding Footprint in Pakistan’s HVAC Sector

Engr. Khurram Malik rejoins DWP/GREE Pakistan as Head of MEP Sales

DWP Group, the official partner of Gree Electric Appliances in Pakistan, has established itself as a leading force in the country’s HVAC sector, offering complete commercial and industrial climate control solutions. At the forefront of its engineering and sales operations is Engr. Khurram Malik, Head of MEP Sales, who leads central regional commercial AC operations along with nationwide Chiller Systems and AHU divisions, bringing both international exposure and strong local market experience to the organization.

Engr. Khurram Malik, who rejoined DWP Group on 20th January 2026, brings with him a wealth of international and local experience. After serving as Regional Head for Punjab until 2022, overseeing commercial AC operations, he moved to the United States where he worked for three years. He also earned his MBA from Missouri State University, an experience he describes as transformative. “Working in the U.S. exposed me to advanced business systems and customer-centric models. It broadened my understanding of global HVAC markets and operational excellence,” he said.

Now heading MEP Sales in commercial air conditioning and leading nationwide operations for Chiller Systems and the AHU department, Engr. Khurram Malik is focused on strengthening Gree’s technical footprint across Pakistan. “Our aim is not just sales growth, but engineering excellence backed by strong after-sales service,” he emphasized.

A significant milestone for the company has been the start of local AHU production in 2024 at a factory near Lahore under the brand names Ecostar-Air and Sital Klima.

In collaboration with Sital Klima, a principal from Italy for whom DWP was already a distributor, the company has achieved a major breakthrough. “We used to import AHUs from Sital Klima. After visiting our facility, they authorized us to manufacture AHUs in Pakistan under their name. This is a matter of pride for us,” he stated. Sital Klima as well as Ecostar-Air units are ISO 9001 and AHRI approved and are currently in the pipeline for Eurovent Certification.

Khurram Malik believes local production is a game changer. “By manufacturing locally, the cost of Sital Klima AHUs has been reduced. This directly benefits Industry, contractors, and end users,” he explained. “More importantly, it strengthens Pakistan’s industrial sector. In the future, we aim to export to the Middle East, Africa, Sri Lanka, and other regions.”

He also announced that GREE 9th generation GMV-9 VRF system, world’s first 9th generation VRF, will be available in Pakistan within the next two to three months. “Gree installed Pakistan’s first VRF system back in 2010. We have always led from the front.”

Gree’s portfolio spans complete HVAC solutions, including split air conditioners, air curtains, light commercial AC’s, air- & water-cooled scroll/screw chillers, VRF systems, and oil-free permanent magnetic bearing centrifugal inverter chillers. “We have already installed four oil-free magnetic bearing centrifugal chillers in Pakistan. Their performance has been outstanding, with exceptional efficiency and reliability,” he shared.

Currently holding approximately 35 percent market share, Gree aims to raise this to 50 percent in the coming years. “Our strength lies in our after-sales service. We have a dedicated in-house MEP technical team of more than 500 professionals nationwide. No matter where the project is located, our team can reach and support it,” He noted, adding that over 100 major clients are currently being served for O&M services/contracts.

He also revealed that renowned consultants recently visited their manufacturing facility and appreciated the company’s high quality Standards.
