Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), a global organisation based in Saudi Arabia aiming to initiate digital progression worldwide has recently welcomed National University of science and technology (NUST) as an official observer. Announcement made news while the secretary general of DCO visited Pakistan earlier. According to the secretary general, the National University of science and technology will help enable the organisation to focus on utter progress of digital economy worldwide and improve the capability of the organisation to expand and empower the digitalization system of the targeted countries.
The organisation has made sure to focus on the main goal of supporting the youth and entrepreneurs on an economic and financial level and help the university build an environment favourable for research and innovation which will help the member state countries.
Lt-Gen Javed Mahmood Bukhari (retd), Rector NUST, commenting on the announcement acknowledged and commended the initiative taken by the organization. He said that NUST is proud to have joined the Digital Cooperation Organization as a “premier observer.” He also said that the university has been working hard in order to create a wave of change for the digital and technological sector of the world. The DCO has recently been collaborating with leading universities and technology companies worldwide for the project of global membership expansion to fulfil the aim of digital prosperity.
