China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the great game changer which aims to enhance connectivity, integrate trade corridors and foster cross-sectoral development. It positions Pakistan as a pivotal hub linking South Asia, central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Under the Long -Term Plan (2015-2030), Phase -1 focused on infrastructure and energy bottlenecks. During the first phase, which has since been completed, eight infrastructure projects were completed at an estimated cost of US $ 6.7 billion and 17 energy projects were completed in different parts of the country at a total cost of US $ 18 billion which added 8904 MW to the national grid.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s Phase-11 prioritizes industrial cooperation, agricultural modernization, science and technology collaboration, and socioeconomic uplift.
