The Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking special interest in the progress of Peshawer BRT project and has directed the top minister of the province to ensure timely completion of the project.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan while chairing a meeting regarding the progress of BRT issued directives to the contractors to start working double shifts to complete the mega project within the timeline. The meeting was attended by the chief secretary, Saleem Khan, Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR), principal secretary to CM, Shahab Ali Shah, SSU head, Sahibzada Saeed, Director General (DG) Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), contractors and other senior authorities.
During the meeting, the contractors briefed the chief minister regarding their problems while DG PDA gave detailed briefing on progress on the BRT project and its completion. Sahibzada Saeed, the Head of Strategic Support Unit (SSU) has been appointed as supervisor to guarantee that work is progressing in double shifts.
