KP Chief Minister Mahmmod Khan has announced initiation of construction work on Karak Oil Refinery. He also inaugurated gas extraction, extension and rehabilitation project in district Karak. For the promotion of communication networks under construction and rehabilitation domain for various roads with an estimated cost of Rs 250 million has also been inaugurated. He also inaugurated the construction of infiltration galleries, pipelines and sump wells for various areas because of the long-lasting issue of clean drinking water in the district. With an estimated cost of Rs3 billion, this project is expected to complete in the next six months. This versatile project will benefit 15,000 local residents providing 250,000 gallons of clean drinking water to Zarkai Nasrati, Siraj Khel, Chowkara, Takth Nasrati, and Khada Banda areas. Additionally, two Rescue 1122 stations with an estimated cost of Rs264.43 million in Karak City and Tehsil Banda Daud Shah and the standardization of 7 Higher Secondary Schools with a capital cost of Rs 400 million was also inaugurated by Chief Minister. Addressing the gathering of the inaugural ceremonies, Mahmood Khan announced further development packages for the district including solarization of schools, the establishment of the sports complex and construction and strengthening of communication roads in various parts of the district. He also added that the up-gradation of the DHQ hospital and Prime Ministers Agriculture Emergency Programme will be inaugurated soon.
