One of China’s largest textile enterprises, Challenge Fashion Private Limited, is going to establish Pakistan’s largest and most advanced textile unit in Punjab.
In this regard, the Chinese Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bank of Punjab for investing $ 150 million to establish a state-of-the-art Special Economic Zone over 100 acres and creating 18000 within initial eight months and 25000 jobs in the five years and will also be sourcing raw materials locally. The project is expected to generate annual exports of its products to about $ 100 million.
The textile unit so established will have production capacity of two to eight million garments every month using six million meters of fabrics.
