A delegation of Chinese construction giant China Silk Road Group Ltd., called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at PM Office Islamabad.The Chairman of company Yan Lijin was leading the delegation. He showed keen interest in the Prime minister’s Naya Pakistan Housing Project which envisages low cost housing for the low income community of Pakistan.
The company proposed setting up a plant in Pakistan for the production of pre-fabricated housing structures to facilitate affordable housing in the country.
The Prime Minister welcomed the interest of China Silk Company. He highlighted various governments’ initiatives to improve ease of doing business and providing the foreign investors an enabling environment to undertake profitable business ventures in the country. The Prime Minister said that the there exists a huge potential to further broaden Pak-China cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and translate all weather and time-tested Pak-China friendly relations into mutually beneficial economic equation.
Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Housing Ch Tariq Bashir Cheema, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusru Bakhtiyar, and Secretary Housing Dr. Imran Zeb also attended the meeting
