Auto Industry: Car Sales & Production upped in Four Months

Cars sales and production in the country have increased by 39.85 percent and 70.88 percent respectively during the first four months of the current financial year July to October 2025-26 as compared to the corresponding period of the last fiscal 2024-25.

During the period under report, as many as 42831 cars of different brands were sold as compared to 30625 sales figures of July-October 2024-25 showing growth of 39.85 percent, according to the information available from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA). Production of cars in the four months was 51226 units from 29977 units produced during the corresponding period of last fiscal.

Sales of Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris cars increased by 70.81 percent from 6655 units to 11368 units while the sale of Honda cars surged by 37.11 percent from 4424 units in the first four months of last fiscal to 6066 units during the current fiscal.

Suzuki Swift sales went up from 1999 units to 4568 units showing an appreciable increase of 128.51 percent whereas the Hyundai Elantra increased to 742 units from 308 units; Hyundai Sonata sales increased by 14.68 percent from 198 units to 227 units; Suzuki Cultus sale increased to 1680 units from 629 units; newly launched Dewan Honri-EV electric 115 units vehicles were sold in July-October 2025 period.

Production of Honda cars , Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris had also increased in varying figures during the first four months of 2025-26 as compared to the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
