ASHRAE is the leader in developing standards and conducting various researches in the field of HVACR with a wide range of professionals as its members and chapters all around the world. Currently three chapters have been established in the past decade or more. Installation ceremony for the Central Pakistan chapter was held on 9th may, 2018 at Faletti’s hotel Lahore. Leading HVAC consultants, representatives from contractors & vendors and professionals from different parts of the industry participated in the event.
M/S Smart Climate Solutions were the GOLD Sponsor of the event where as Captve Aire, Mecatech (Pvt.) Ltd, Khurshid engineering & DWP Technologies were the silver sponsors of the event. Various product presentation videos were shown and exceptional arrangements were done for the event.
Mr. M. Farooq Saeed the Retiring-President had his speech regarding the chapter operations and activities in the past year and gave his best wishes to the coming President, Chapter officers and B.O.G members.
New President M. Faheem Shahbaz in his address urge to start activities relating to students and young engineers and emphasize on involvement of students and young engineers for growth of chapter.
Mr. Farooq Mehboob Director & Regional Chair, ASHRAE Region-at-Large & Mr. Azim Ashraf, President Pakistan HVACR Society also addressed the audience.
An ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer event was also organized. Mr. William Bahnfleth from USA presented the topic “Integrating Indoor Air Quality & Building Efficiency” which was very well appreciated by the audience.

The award distribution took place at the end of the event. Appreciation shields were presented to the Retiring Chapter Officers & B.O.G Members. Most active member award was given to Mr. Khalid Mehmood, certificate of appreciations were awarded to Mr. Tahir Raza, M. Faheem Shahbaz & Student Branches of the chapter considering their efforts for the growth & progress of ASHRAE in Pakistan. Gold & silver sponsors were also awarded Certificate of Appreciation.
