The government has appointed Adnan Ali Mansoor as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Engineering Development Board (EDB) for a term of three years, according to an official notification.
The EDB, which serves as the regulatory body for Pakistan’s automobile and engineering sectors, had been operating under ad-hoc leadership since May 2024, following the removal of former CEO Raza Abbas Shah. During the interim period, Khuda Bukhsh had been serving as acting CEO.
Adnan Ali Mansoor’s appointment has been made in the MP-1 scale, in accordance with the Management Pay Scales policy, and is expected to bring renewed direction and stability to the EDB as it continues to support the government’s industrial and engineering development initiatives.
