Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) to ensure the display of SBCA approved barcode at all the under construction sites in Karachi. This step is being taken to curb the menace of illegal constructions in the province.
He said this during the visit of a delegation of ABAD to Chief Minister’s House. The chief minister said that a large number of illegal buildings have emerged in the city against which ABAD has to cooperate with the government.
Everyone will be able to scan the SBCA bar codes displayed at the construction sites through their mobile applications and determine whether the building is legal or not. Bar codes for old building will also be issued.
During the meeting ABAD also offered the Sindh government to work with them on PPP mode to launch low-cost housing projects in the city.
