petroleum resource discovered in Sindh
Another resource of Petroleum products has been discovered in the province of Sindh under the exploratory activities of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL). The exploratory well has been discovered in the area of Jugan-1, in the Latif Block. The discovery is the result of an aggressive exploration strategy adopted by the joint venture partners will be leading to new opportunities as per the material information being sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange. The well has been drilled and tested using the operator’s internal expertise and is in consultation with the Block’s joint ventures partners. The drilled depth is around 11,350 feet with reservoir target as Lower Goru Sands. The Company holds a 33.30 percent working interest while Eni Pakistan Limited holds 33.30 percent and UEPL, which is Operator of the Block, holds 33.40 percent working interest in the Block.
