The 8th meeting of Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on China -Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be held in Beijing on 20th December 2018. The JCC is most important official forum for discussion of projects and issues related to CPEC. Federal Minister for Planning and Development Makhdum Khusro Bhaktiar will lead the Pakistani delegation which will include Chief Ministers of all four provincial, Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chief Executive of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Many High level projects are expected to come under discussion during the upcoming meeting. These projects include $2 billion Karachi Circular Railway (KCR), socio-economic development projects from all provinces and Gwadar infrastructure projects. According to sources Pakistan and China have also decided to consider establishment of joint working group for devising mechanism to grant permission to other countries for involvement into different projects.
