The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) met with Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan in the chair at the planning comission and approved 7 projects worth Rs 10 Billion.
The first project to get approval was the “Construction of Deg-Outfall Hydel Power Station,” which is worth Rs 2,564 million. The second project to get approval was the “Construction of Pakpattan Hydel Power Station Pakpattan Canal RD-114, district Pakpattan Punjab,” worth Rs 1,810.55 million.
More projects related to energy were approved by the CDWP like “Construction of Okara Hydel Power Station LBDC-RD 199, Okara” worth Rs 2,490 million, “Capacity Building of Energy department for Under Taking Feasibility Studies and Construction of Hydel Power Station in Punjab,” worth Rs 388.55 million. The last project related to energy “Feasibility Studies of Additional Five Hydel Power Stations in Punjab,” worth Rs 46 million, was also approved by the CDWP.
A project related to education titled “Reconstruction of fully damaged Schools in Bara, tribal district Khyber under Chinese Assistance,” worth Rs 2,323.34 million, was approved in the meeting.
A project related to governance was presented in the meeting titled “Punjab Sustainable Development Goals,” worth Rs 400 million, and was approved by the CDWP.
Senior officials from federal and provincial governments attended the meeting.
