On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors, exhibitors, and visitors who made the 4th HVACR Trends Expo and Conference a resounding success. A special thanks to our international speakers, Distinguished Lecturers (DLs), and participants from across the globe, whose presence and insights added immense value to the event.
The event was inaugurated by our esteemed Chief Guest, H.E. Mr. Cemal Sangu, Consul General of Turkey in Karachi. We were also honored by the presence of several notable guests, including Mr. Dennis Knight, President of ASHRAE Society, Mr. Jeff Littleton, Executive Vice President & Chief Staff Officer of ASHRAE Society, Ms. Sarah Maston, Treasurer of ASHRAE Society, and Farooq Mehboob, Mick Schwedler, and Tim Wentz, ASHRAE Presidential Members. Their participation signified the global collaboration and shared vision for sustainable HVAC practices.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Mahmood Ahmad, President of the ASHRAE Pakistan Chapter for the 2024-2025 term, set the stage for the two-day event, emphasizing the significance of this year’s theme, “Sustainable HVAC Design and System for Textile and Garments Industry.” As Pakistan’s textile and garments sector continues to grow, it is crucial to adopt innovative, energy-efficient HVAC solutions to support sustainable industrial growth.
The conference featured renowned international speakers and DLs, including Farhan Mehboob, Muneer S. Godil, Dr. Hafsa, Mr. Tuna Yesilmark, Mehdi Hasan, and Tim Wentz, who provided expert insights on how HVAC systems can be optimized for sustainability within the textile and garments industries. These distinguished speakers highlighted key areas of focus, such as energy efficiency, cost reduction, and environmental sustainability, which are essential to the future of Pakistan’s textile sector.
One of the key highlights of the event was the panel discussion on “Transition to Renewable Energy: Pathway for the Textile Sector,” which drew significant attention from participants. The panel, moderated by Ms. Adeeba Mehboob, featured leading consultants like Fahim I. Siddiqui and Muneer S. Godil, as well as international experts Mick Schwedler and Sarah Maston. The discussion also included key industry facility managers like Mr. Shahab Ahmed (AGI Denim) and Farooq Mehboob. The panel provided actionable insights into how the textile sector can transition towards renewable energy sources while maintaining efficiency and competitiveness.
In addition to the knowledge-sharing sessions, the exhibition hall was a hub of innovation, featuring 42 top-notch local and international manufacturers and suppliers of HVACR products. These exhibitors showcased the latest technologies, systems, and solutions for the HVACR industry, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainable practices. With a diverse range of exhibitors, the exhibition area was an invaluable platform for business networking and collaboration.
Over the course of the two days, the event attracted more than 2,500 visitors, including industry professionals, consultants, facility managers, and engineers. The high footfall demonstrated the growing interest in sustainable HVACR solutions and the commitment of Pakistan’s textile and garments industry to adopt these innovations.
The success of this event would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our sponsors, exhibitors, and event consultants Business Relay Group (BRG). Their contribution is instrumental in driving forward the agenda of sustainability and growth in the HVACR and textile sectors.
Finally, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the organizing team, the ASHRAE Pakistan Chapter, and our volunteers, whose hard work and dedication ensured that the 4th HVACR Trends Expo and Conference was a memorable and impactful event.
We look forward to your continued support and participation in future editions of the HVACR Trends Expo.
