37 Ministries/Divisions utilized only 7.6 % of allocated funds in four months of 2025-26

The Federal Government’s 37 Ministries/ Divisions have utilized only 7.6 percent of their allocated funds under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26 during four months i.e. July to October 2025.

This slow spending of the development funds has been attributed due to the aligned controls of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The Federal Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives had authorized Rs 330.43 billion including Rs 102 billion in foreign funding which was equivalent to 33 % of PSDP funds for July -October 2025 but utilization somehow remained just 7.6 percent of Rs 1 Trillion Development Budget for the current financial year 2025-26.

Ministers/Divisions with zero utilization of the allocated development funds for four months included  Commerce Division, Establishment Division, Parliamentary Affairs Division, Petroleum Division and Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony Division.
