The Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers Pakistan (IEEEP) and NED University of Engineering and Technology hold a 36th IEEEP All Pakistan Students’ Seminar on 30th March 2021 at Civil A/V Hall, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. This conference was held in hybrid mode due to preventive measures taken under the Covid-19 SOPs, presenters and guests joined this event through physical and online options. 42 papers submitted in this conference from all over Pakistan under the discipline of Electrical, Electronics, Bio-Medical, Computer, AI and others. 18 papers were accepted and presented in this conference.
Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Aman (IEEEP student’s seminar convener) welcomed all the guests and convey special thanks to NED University for providing the platform. He also appreciated the efforts of IEEEP for successfully conducting the IEEEP student’s seminar for years.
Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail were the chief guest of this event. Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi (VC NED University) in his speech stressed about the collaboration of academia and industry. He suggested that internships should be made more effective for students and talked about the initiatives taken by the NED University to improve the teaching skills of teachers. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail (PVC NED University) said in his speech that such kind of events must be held regularly and more such organizations should come forward for effective collaboration. NED University welcomes such kind of events which help our students to improve their technical and interpersonal skills.
Mr. Irfan Ahmed, Mr. Khalid Pervaiz (Chairman IEEEP) and Mr. Munis Siddiqui (Secretary IEEEP) also expressed their views and appreciated the efforts of NED University-IEEEP for the successful organization of this event and congratulated all the winners. Six winner papers will receive Gold & Silver Medals on 27th May 2021 in main symposium to be held at PC Hotel Karachi.
