United Insulation, a subsidiary of United Enterprises, which was originally established in 1980 is rapidly emerging as a key player in Pakistan’s insulation industry. The company was founded in 2018 by a visionary father-son duo, Pervaiz Baig and Mohammad Zain Arsalan Baig, who brought with them more than four decades of engineering expertise. Their collective ambition was to provide innovative, high-performance insulation solutions tailored to the evolving needs of Pakistan’s construction and industrial sectors.
Leveraging this strong engineering foundation, United Insulation quickly positioned itself as a leading manufacturer and exporter of insulation materials including Polyisocyanurate (PIR), Polyurethane (PUR) & Thermopore (EPS) products. These include insulation pipes, sheets, and sandwich panels, along with soundproofing solutions.
Engineering Post sat down with the Director of Commercial Operations, Mohammad Zain Arsalan Baig, who articulated the company’s broader mission to transform the insulation landscape of Pakistan. On a question about the new product launch & its quality, Mr. Zain emphasized “United Insulation’s has introduced Pre-Cladded Polyurethane Pipes & Pre- Cladded Polyurethane Ducts which are durable, cost effective (as it eliminates the cladding cost on insulation), reduces installation time & zero risk of corrosion (thus increasing product life). Engineering Post also had the privilege to talk with the Managing Director Pervaiz Baig, who reinforced this philosophy by explaining the company’s evolution from engineering into a solutions-based business model. He said, “United Insulation offers much more than products—it delivers top quality product with lower thermal conductivity at a significantly reduced cost than imported insulation material which eventually reduces the capital cost of projects for our clients. This innovative approach has helped bridge a significant gap in the market for reliable, locally manufactured insulation materials. We are currently registered with more than 45 Clients in Pakistan and are directly serving them and providing them turnkey solutions”
On inquiring about the new innovation being brought in by the company, Mr. Pervaiz Baig said, “One of the company’s most groundbreaking developments is the introduction of Aluminum Pre-Cladded Polyurethane Pipes & Pre-Cladded Polyurethane Sheets. These advanced pipes & sheets are manufactured locally in Pakistan, allowing United Insulation to offer them at significantly lower prices than compared to other imported products which also reduces the labor cost.
United Insulation also excels in the production of Polyurethane and Thermopore Sandwich Panels in various densities. These are supplied as part of turnkey solutions and have been used in the successful completion of warehouses, cold storages & portable cabins across Pakistan. The company’s products have earned approval from many of the country’s top construction & HVAC consultants.
Responding to a question regarding the future of the company, Mr. Baig said, “The company has already stepped into the specialized field of clean room panel manufacturing to support industrial and pharmaceutical sectors. As part of its international growth strategy, United Insulation is in the process of registering a new office in Dubai, with operations expected to commence by mid- 2026.
